My neice is not the genius I thought she was.

So Malena’s two years old now. My wife comes in one day wearing her Tulane t-shirt and Linda, Malena’s mommy, asks her to read my wife’s shirt.

Malena starts on the left. “T, U, L, A, N…”

Mommy goes “E…?”

“E.”

“What’s that spell?”

“Tulane,” Malena answers with great confidence.

My wife and I are speechless. Jaws on the floor. “She can read now?” we both gasp.

“Nah,” Linda says. “She thinks everything says ‘Tulane.'”
